Daryl Anselmo
Artist & Advocate for Emerging Technologies
Daryl Anselmo is a Canadian-American artist, director and advocate for the creative application of emerging technology. An award-winning creative powerhouse, Daryl has served as a Director of Art for The Walt Disney Company, Electronic Arts, Zynga and Improbable Worlds throughout his 25-year career.
A proponent for the creative use of AI-based workflows, Daryl has lectured at numerous institutions such as Stanford University, Siggraph, VIEW Conference and Google. His work, which delves into the relationship between human input and machine output to create synthetic worlds, was showcased on the Main Stage at TED 2023.
Daryl was Art & Creative Director for FarmVille 2, Co-Founder of Propaganda Games and Midwinter Entertainment, and Co-Creator of the award-winning franchises: NBA Street, Scavengers, Def Jam Vendetta and Fight for NY. Now splitting his time between San Francisco and Vancouver, Daryl is obsessed with technology and writes his own code. He is currently deepening his art practice in anticipation of launching a studio specializing in synthetic media and automation.
