Alessandro Ongaro

A renowned visual effects leader, Alessandro Ongaro, is currently VFX Supervisor on Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil. Originally
from Milan, he began his film career at a pioneering Italian VFX company before relocating to Los Angeles in 2004 to work on
Warner Bros. ’ Constantine.
With nearly 30 years of experience, Alessandro has served as Production VFX Supervisor and 2nd Unit Director on major films
including Captain America: Brave New World, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and The Adam Project. He earned a BAFTA
nomination for Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
He spent nearly a decade at DreamWorks Animation, contributing to a wide range of animated features before returning to live-
action film.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with talented artists, filmmakers, and studios on projects spanning animation and
large-scale live-action films. Skilled in adapting workflows for complex productions, he continues to live and work in Los
Angeles, remaining passionate about visual effects and bringing ambitious ideas to the screen.
