Are We in a Practical Effects Renaissance?
Reports of the death of practical effects are greatly exaggerated. Indeed, special effects, miniatures and practical creature and make-up effects are now featuring in more films and TV shows than ever. This expert panel brings together some of the key artists working in practical effects today. They will outline how the robots and robotic arms in Tales from the Loop were crafted, how miniatures were created for several Wes Anderson films, and how on-set special effects helped make The Call of the Wild and Once Upon a Time possible.
